#12

When I think of all the nerves and uncertainties that flooded my heart flying cross-country last year, I smile.
I smile wide.

I couldn't have known what was going to happen.
And you can't, but the ambiguity makes for a beautiful story.

I jumped from the cliff then and I jump again now.

Next month I'll be flying back to Vancouver to carry the project to the west coast with 12 film notecards of my incredible home away from home, the place that started it all.

I want to do this all over Canada.
Sets to represent our cities and our country so that pieces of Canada land everywhere, exclaiming the goodness and pride we have in our home.

And it all started with the slight shift of a rudder.
Well, and getting fired a couple times.

All of it has taught me to pay attention, to ready myself for change and take God's cues to jump seriously.

No longer do I feel on loan to Toronto, or to anywhere specifically.

I am called to invest in the camp I'm in and the people behind the same walls, the community sharing the same streets wherever that may be.

To compound and leverage the influence God has given me to serve others through the offering of my small arsenal of skills.

To share my story in a way that encourages others to engage in their own adventurous story so that we're all fully alive.

Who knows how long I’ll get to do it for, but the brevity rushes me to fully serve where I stand, for the Kingdom and for eternity.

With love,
Dani.

Why 12 for Toronto?

I want anyone, from a first-time tourist to the seasoned city veteran, to wander through our shops and have their eyes hook on a colourful film photograph taken from right here in our neighbourhoods.

To be able to pen a simple note to someone, not on outdated souvenir paper, but on a meaningful alternative they can send not only from them, but from this diverse, beautiful, commanding beast of a city.

I want these notes to go around the world.

For pieces of Toronto to land everywhere to exclaim the goodness and pride we have in our home.

EACH CARD IS AVAILABLE TODAY, WITH A BOXED SET OF ALL 12 AVAILABLE AT THE END OF THE SERIES ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 28!
