I am so thankful for the road.
For all those countries and waters and faraway lands.
They have confirmed and applauded my dusty, adventurous heart and curious blood.
I am so thankful for what the road has made me as a woman.
I am so thankful for what it started in me that will river its way into who I am as a wife.
As a mother.
Those countries and waters and faraway lands gave me permission to be myself. To question, to wonder, to tumble and to ask. They carved me into a truer version of myself, which has prepared me for the roles I will inhabit someday.
I owe an awful lot to countries, to waters, to faraway lands.
